Our school (Design for Virtual Theatre and Games) is an interesting topic on its own and not easily explained. A mentionable point however, is that during 4 years we get exposed to a very broad field of digital and multimedia driven productions. Whether it’s making installations, digital theatre, games or film. Here are some examples.

"Indian Tales" was an adventure game (Monkey Island type) Made in the second year. It was interesting to create this together. To make both the plot and the puzzles was quite a challenge but fun.

In the Third year we produced a game show "Manipulear", based on King Lear from William Shakespeare. Played in front of a live audience, contestants eventually had to win Lear's favour by answering questions correctly.
If players answered correctly, buildings- and eventually cities would fill their part of the map. The interesting thing however, was that players were tricked into answers or questions could have double sided answers. Mini games were played during the show, whitch had odd outcomes and traps. Contestants generally had a hard time as "King Lear" is also about loyalty and how grandeur and delusion creates false pretences and conflict.
All this was hosted by a virtual King Lear and we controlled the show from behind the scenes.
