Video Clip - the actual clip

This is the clip folks! Hugo did a sweet job, cheers and salutes to all who made this thing.

( Just in case anyone asks again: first I got the photos from the shots, then I made the panels. I did not do the character design or other :) I really got the whole picture when this clip was posted. )

Way overdue

I just found out I get to finally post some of the old concept art done for the former Coded Illusions in 2007. Pretty cool.
The company was resurrected as: "Vertigo Games", all rights belong to them. The game is called "Nomos". Buy, buy, buy, pre-order, NOW!

Hope you enjoy, more pictures are found @ stitched2gether.blogspot.com

CHOW team; Turd Burglars - Sketches

Doing a competition on ConceptArt.org with two on-line friends of mine; Siiilon and Mvocet. CHOW (Character Of the Week) is now doing a team competition where each team has to create 6 characters.

Our plan: A post apocalyptic future in which people from different time periods are stuck; "To create an unlikely cast of individuals brought together."
Benefit: Creating a mix of classic apparel (Baroc, Conquistador, 1500's, tribal African, etc.) mixed with future; junk, technology, clothing, weapons, etc..
The roles: Hero (F), Shadow, Protector, Sage, Technician, Rabble Rouser.

A Maori (Chief?) as Protector:

An Amazonian Indian as Shadow:

Colour sketch; it turned into an African for now :P

First sketch for the female hero. Happy with the outcome not using reff.
Its will be a Jugenstill/1870-1920 -period young woman.

Spellborn Art Test Final Proposals # 2

Here are finals and pictures for the final presentation. (For the art test at Spellborn, applying for concept artist, what else?).

Inspired by Mr. Carlos Cabrera's kind words and awesome art work. Also insired by a character from Robbert Jordan's (RIP): "The Wheel of Time". Thom Merilyn, a "Gleeman" who had a colourful patched cloak.

Spellborn NV just released "The Chroniscles of Spellborn", an innovative online RPG.

Sunday Sketches

Here are today's sketches. It wasn't a good day for sketches, my mind wondered all over the place between writing letters and things. Had ref for the nude, zero patience for the speedies.

Monday Speedy's

Inspired by the book "Dream Worlds" by Hans Bacher, meaning I had examples. Time under the drawings is without counting brakes, just drawing time.

Speed practise

I'm going to do 2hour speed paintings, following this one.
Just like this one, I'll try to: work from colour on up, on one layer, without saturation, colour correction and layer effects, texture brushes, etc.. Stop after or before 2 hours. In addition trying to: explore angles and tell something in the picture.

The idea started as: "must paint something with a tropic island".
Inspired by Jesse van Dijk's Indigo concept, I think though.
